From July 7th to 9th, the International Conference on Astrophysical Dynamics was held at the Minhang Campus. The conference was organized by the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute and covers many frontier themes from planetary formation to the structure of the Milky Way. A total of 80 experts and young scholars from related fields at home and abroad gathered together. The chairman of the conference is Professor Lai Dong, a senior scholar at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute .
On the day of the opening ceremony, Academician Jing Yipeng, Dean of the School of Physics and Astronomy and Senior Scholar of theTsung-Dao Lee Institute , delivered a welcome speech. Some of the experts who participated in the seminar included: Professor Scott Tremaine from the Princeton Institute of Advanced Studies, Professor Lin Chao from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Professor Gilles Chabrier from the University of Exeter, Professor Isabelle Baraffe, Professor Wu Yanqing from the University of Toronto, and Caroline from Oxford University. Professor Terquem, Professor Gordon Ogilvie of Cambridge University, Professor Roman Rafikov, Professor Re'em Sari of Hebrew University, Professor Jacques Laskar of Paris Observatory, Professor Jim Fuller of California Institute of Technology, Professor Hilke Schlichting of UCLA, Professor Richard Nelson of Queen Mary College Wait.
The conference focused on several topics that are currently very popular in related disciplines: the dynamics of the planetary formation process, the accretion disk dynamics, and the evolutionary dynamics of stars and galaxies. A total of more than 50 academic reports were conducted in 12 groups. A warm free discussion. The purpose of this conference is to help participants to deepen theoretical understanding, guide experimental observations, and enhance scientific research.
