I am professor of physics at The Racah Institute of Physics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Schwarzmann Chair. I am member at The Center for Astrophysics and Planetary Science of the institute.
I also the head of the I-Core Research Center in Astrophysics, an inter-university center of excellence in Astrophysics.
My research is in relativistic astrophysics, the link between astrophysics and fundamental theories: relativity and high-energy physics. This enables using astronomical observations to explore physics under extreme conditions that cannot be explored otherwise on Earth.
